I have taken my first steps upon a land so remote that its jungle completely engulfs the horizon. I, along with a small group of two others, plan to research and categorize the flora and fauna inhabitants in the hopes that we may expand our colonies.
we have entered the jungle and it seems to be very feint of any possible creatures. My crew have set up camp and have departed in search for firewood and natural food sources. I, myself, will be searching for a source of drinking water and hopefully that just may give me a lead on if any creatures inhabit the area.
trekking towards higher ground to gain a clear view in order to find any form of water I spotted irregular movement within the tall grass far below.
I have raced down the hill to lower ground in order to confirm if what I saw is a living organism. The grass practically towers over me but I must enter to find what I saw.
After nearly an hour of searching for target, and a way out, I have lost the target and must now make up for lost time to find water by returning to higher ground.
After strenuous searching I have finally found a sparkling river to drink from but it felt as if I were being guided here by some form of spirit. It was faded yet very compelling.
I have returned to base camp and unfortunately neither I or have any of my crew found any physical evidence of life yet the three of us speak of having seen something move from afar but disappear attempting encounters and a faded outer force leading us to our desired sources. We may have yet to have discovered any physical evidence of life but this experience tells me that this does not mean there is nothing here.
